What is the S.E.E.K.™
Quiet Time Method?
S.E.E.K. is a simple way to spend real, intentional time with God. You don’t have to come polished or have the right words. You can come exactly as you are. It helps you move beyond a quick devotional and into His presence, where your heart is opened, your faith is strengthened, and His Word begins to take root deeply in your life.
S
Share your Heart with God
Share what's on your mind with the Lord- no need to sound polished and put together. Be real. Be raw. Be honest.
E
Enter His Presence
Enter God's presence by being still before the Lord, worshipping, or praying. Let the Spirit lead you in inviting God into your space.
E
Examine the Word
Dive into the Word of God- it's alive and active! This is where you can allow God's Word to speak to you and work in your heart.
(Letting the Spirit lead is key)
K
Know. Proclaim. & Apply
Once you are finished with your Bible study and you know the Truth, proclaim it out loud and apply it to your life in a practical way.
My Testimony
Born From a Hunger for More
Before this method took root, my relationship with God went all the way back to when I was saved at 13. I didn’t know how to read the Bible, and I didn’t really know how to pray. I didn’t understand what intimacy with God looked like, and if I’m honest, I didn’t feel close to Him. He felt too big… too far. The Bible felt hard to understand.
As I got older, my “quiet time” looked more like a quick devotional and a surface-level reading. Usually just one verse with someone else’s thoughts on it to help encourage me. And while that helped in the moment, it didn’t truly change me. My roots weren’t growing deep. I would try to see fruit in my life, but it just wasn’t really there.
I was inconsistent. I was distracted, especially as a mom. Some days I was just checking a box.
But deep down, I knew God wanted more from me. And I knew I wasn’t living fully for Him the way I was called to. I remember asking myself, “Can people actually see that I live for Jesus?” My devotion felt shallow, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore.
There was a shift in me. A real, deep desire to know God, not just know about Him. I wanted more of His Word, more change in my life, and I wanted to hear Him speak. I had heard other people talk about that, but I had never experienced it myself. I never slowed down enough to.
This is where everything began to change.
Before S.E.E.K. was even broken down into the four steps, it started with me simply journaling to God. Not polished. Not perfect. Just real. I began pouring out my actual thoughts and feelings, and then I would sit and wait. I stilled my heart and made space for Him.
And I’m not exaggerating when I say this. I experienced more of God and heard Him more clearly in one week of changing how I approached my quiet time than I had in years before.
It took slowing down.
That same slowing down carried into how I read the Word. Some days I didn’t “hear” Him in a direct way, but He was speaking clearly through Scripture. His Word truly is alive and active. I started sitting with it instead of rushing through it.
It felt like what you see in David's Psalms. Bringing everything to God, the raw and real, but always coming back to truth. That He is faithful. That He is good. That His Word is true and His plans are good.
And not every day looks the same. Some mornings I come in with worship and thanksgiving right away, lifting Him high. Other days, I need to lay everything down first. The burdens, the thoughts, the weight. And then I can sit with Him.
The fruit from this has been more than I can fully put into words.
God has guided me through hard seasons. He has led me in decisions, even things like purchasing a home. He has given me vision for reaching people.
There was one moment I will never forget (full story mentioned in the S.E.E.K. Method Guide) God showed me a specific coffee shop and put it on my heart to put together a gift bag. Flowers, candy, a notebook, small things. I went out of my way to go, and when I got there, I immediately knew who it was for. It turned out to be her birthday. Something only God could have known.
If I hadn’t slowed down and made space to hear Him, I would have missed that completely.
Now, I don’t want to miss a day with Him.
I would rather skip other things in my morning if it means I get time in His presence. There is a hunger in me now that I never had before. Devotionals were a good starting place, but they weren’t the depth my soul needed. This has been different. This has been where roots actually grow.
My Encouragement for You
If you see yourself in any part of my story, I want you to know this… you don’t have to have it all together to come to God.
You can come exactly as you are.
You don’t need the perfect words. You don’t need to clean anything up first. He already sees you fully, and He still wants you to come close.
If you don’t know where to start, just start there.
Even if all you can say is, “God, I don’t know what I’m doing, but I want to know You more,” that is enough. He hears you. He meets you in that place. Be real with Him. Say what you’re actually thinking. Lay it all down. The weight, the questions, the frustration, even the silence. None of it scares Him.
And give yourself grace in the process.
This isn’t about striving or trying to earn anything. It’s not about doing it perfectly every day. But as you begin to make space for Him, something will start to shift in your heart. You will begin to want more of Him. You will begin to recognize His voice. You will begin to see Him move.
Just make room for Him.
He will meet you right where you are. I truly believe that, because He did it for me.
